Sassy singer meets sultry songwriter!
‘’She’s blessed with a stunning voice that sounds like it belongs in the late 60s with Carole King and Joni Mitchell.’’ (Subba Cultcha)
‘’Right Here' sees her keeping on the right track covering all the bases from pop to country to rock and folk… Sweet vocals and excellent songs’’ (Get Ready to Rock Magazine)
CURRENTLY:
Esther is collaborating with several exciting artists, including the talented Nik Kershaw and composer/producer Paul Leonard Morgan. She guested on Paul’s album ‘FILMTALES’ and performed live with him last year. One of the highlights was being asked to perform on the Vic Galloway show in December.
Paulo Nutini is performing one of Esther’s songs ‘Running On Empty’ on his tour of The States.
On April 27th Esther will be taking part in a Global Angels Event. This charity was inspired by Molly Bedingfield (mum of Daniel & Natasha) and will include Carol Kidd MBE headlining.
2007:
Was a year to remember for Esther O’Connor, releasing her debut album ‘The Place Where We Are’ to countless outstanding reviews and phenomenal radio support, plus playing to tens of thousands of people at the summer festivals.
She has been sharing the stage with everyone from the Zutons and Athlete to Beverly Knight on her travels and creating an undeniable impact and growing fanbase with every live performance.
Esther is undoubtedly a blazing talent: a thoughtful, optimistic singer-songwriter with a slew of great tunes and ear-sticking lyrics. But don't take the experts' word for it: you need to listen to ‘Right Here’, Esther’s second album in as many years. You can see Esther at her best, live, with either a punchy acoustic line up or rocking out with her five-piece band.
‘Neil Young meets Beyonce round at Joni Mitchell’s house.’
This was the response from Radio Scotland’s Tom Morton on hearing one of her tracks! He continued; ‘Somewhere between Suzanne Vega and Sheryl Crow, with the plangent melancholy of one, and the sassy snap of the other.’
Basically, people are tying themselves in knots trying to describe her!
So yes, we do need another Singer/Songwriter. Her name is Esther O’Connor.
